There is an active ingredient in diet drinks, that when subjected to prolonged storage in temperatures of 86 degrees Fahrenheit or above, converts into Formaldehyde.
Formaldehyde is classified alongside chemicals like Arsenic and Cyanide and are of course deadly poisonous. It will kill as surely as the other two, but a lot slower and only after causing many types of neurological problems.
It changes the brains chemistry and most doctors agree that it is also a major cause of severe and often fatal seizures.
Methanol, also belongs to the same class of poisons.
Methanol is easily converted into Formaldehyde and then into Formic Acid (the poison contained in the sting of Fire Ants) when subjected to prolonged storage in the kind of temperatures mentioned above.
When ingested, this can result in metabolic acidosis and methanol toxicity severely affects the brain, the retina and the nervous system.
Methanol is the toxin found in Aspartame, (sometimes shown as E951 on packaging) which of course is the artificial sweetener used in diet drinks, and many of the symptoms of Gulf War Syndrome are almost identical to Aspartame Poisoning.
It has recently been announced that there is an epidemic of Multiple Sclerosis and Systemic Lupus throughout the United States, and Scientists have now found the link between the two diseases – Aspartame.
Many patients presenting with methanol toxicity, mainly caused by drinking 3/4 Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi’s per day, have been found to have MS or Systemic Lupus-like symptoms.
On stopping the ingestion of Aspartame immediately, these patients were shown to lose all or most of their symptoms.
Unfortunately the effects of the disease cannot be reversed, the damage has already been done.
Some of the symptoms of Aspartame Disease are:
- Fibromyalgia symptoms
- Shooting pains
- Numbness in the legs
- Joint Pain
- Anxiety attacks
- Slurred speech
- Blurred vision
- Memory loss
According to the US College of Physicians, the Phenylalanine in Aspartame depletes Serotonin, and can cause manic depression, panic attacks, rage and violence.
Aspartame is especially harmful for Diabetics, as it makes the blood sugar level go out of control causing patients to suffer severe memory loss, coma and death.
The memory loss is due to the fact that Aspartic Acid and Phenylalanine are neurotoxic without the other amino acids found in protein.
Thus it goes past the blood brain barrier and deteriorates the neurons of the brain.
A leading neurosurgeon has said “The ingredients stimulate the neurons of the brain to death, causing brain damage of varying degrees.”
Aspartame disease is rampant in the US, and most probably in 90 other countries (Including the UK and most of Europe) where over 5000 products containing Aspartame are sold.
Aspartame Disease could also be to blame for Gulf War Syndrome.
Women as young as 30 are being admitted to hospitals with Alzheimer’s disease.
There is also a link between consuming Aspartame and birth defects.
According to Dr. Louis Elsas, Paediatrician Professor of Genetics, the Phenylalanine concentrates in the placenta causing mental retardation.
A leading neurosurgeon has stated that when brain tumours were removed, high levels of Aspartame were found in them.
Aspartame makes you crave carbohydrates, and stores itself in the fatty tissues of the body, so even though it is commonly used as a diet aid, it actually does the reverse.
Enter Monsanto, the creator of Aspartame.
As was proven in 1996, the American Diabetic Association takes money from the food industry to endorse their products.
Therefore they are always unwilling to criticise Monsanto.
Many patients diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) may in fact be suffering from some of the 92 already documented neurological symptoms now being attributed to methanol toxicity or Aspartame Disease, including fibromyalgia, headaches, vertigo, tinnitus, numbness in the legs, blurred vision, slurred speech, depression and memory loss.
In addition, an analysis of the incidence of brain tumours, carried out at Professor John Olney, Washington University, St Louis, USA, has demonstrated that there was an abrupt 10% increase in cases following the introduction of Aspartame in dry goods in 1981 and soft drinks in 1983.
It is interesting to note that Aspartame is manufactured by the NutraSweet Corporation, a subsidiary of Monsanto, who, it is believed, are fully aware of the dangers of their product.
However, as Monsanto also funds the American Diabetics Association, the American Dietetic Association, Congress and the Conference of the American College of Physicians, there appears to be a conspiracy of silence with regard to the dangers of this artificial sweetener.
Aspartame incidentally can be found in over 5,000 sugar-free products sold under the brand names of NutraSweet,Candarel, Equal and Spoonful.
