What would you define as something being ‘In Bad Taste?’

After all what is the harm in telling someone on a visit to China, “If you stay here much longer, you’ll end up slitty-eyed.”

Would your opinion suddenly change because of his position in the British Royal family, or because he is a well-known English eccentric who is prone to the odd gaffe.

All good fun right?

So what about saying to a blind woman with a guide dog, “Do you know that they have eating dogs for the anorexic now?”

Are you still comfortable with that?

So what about asking an indigenous Aborigine in Australia “Do you still throw spears at each other” is that still within the boundaries of what you find perfectly acceptable?

So what is your cut off point, when does somebody’s misplaced attempt at humour become offensive to you?

“How do you keep the natives off the booze long enough to get them through the test?”

If you were a driving test examiner in Scotland, would that offend you?

If you were a survivor of the awful school shooting at Dunblane, would,“If a cricketer, for instance, suddenly decided to go into a school and batter a lot of people to death with a cricket bat, which he could do very easily, I mean, are you going to ban cricket bats” be offensive to you?

Or is it just certain people that bring out the hyper sensitive and politically correct part of you to the surface?

Is it what you really think, or are you so conditioned in what you are told to think by both society and the media, that the edges become blurred somehow?

What if you watched a video filmed by HRH Prince Harry whilst on a training exercise in Cyprus in 2006. The various stages of the video clearly show the Prince making fun of his fellow soldiers asleep on an airport floor before zooming in on Ahmed Raza Khan and joking ‘Ah, our little Paki friend Ahmed’.

Later on in the same video, the Prince films another colleague wearing a camouflage hood before remarking “fuck me, you look like a raghead”.

Did you take to Social networks to voice your outrage?

I thought not, as after all it’s only a bit of harmless fun Innit?
