“The difference between a criminal and an outlaw is that while criminals frequently are victims, outlaws never are.

Indeed, the first step toward becoming a true outlaw is the refusal to be victimized.

All people who live subject to other people’s laws are victims.

People who break laws out of greed, frustration, or vengeance are victims.

People who overturn laws in order to replace them with their own laws are victims. ( I am speaking here of revolutionaries.)

We outlaws, however, live beyond the law.

We don’t merely live beyond the letter of the law-many businessmen, most politicians, and all cops do that-we live beyond the spirit of the law.

In a sense, then, we live beyond society.

Have we a common goal, that goal is to turn the tables on the ‘nature’ of society.

When we succeed, we raise the exhilaration content of the universe.

We even raise it a little bit when we fail.

When war turns whole populations into sleepwalkers, outlaws don’t join forces with alarm clocks.

Outlaws, like poets, rearrange the nightmare.

The trite mythos of the outlaw; the self-conscious romanticism of the outlaw; the black wardrobe of the outlaw; the fey smile of the outlaw; the tequila of the outlaw and the beans of the outlaw; respectable men sneer and say ‘outlaw’; young women palpitate and say ‘outlaw’.

The outlaw boat sails against the flow.

All outlaws are photogenic.

‘When freedom is outlawed, only outlaws will be free.’

There are outlaw maps that lead to outlaw treasures.

Unwilling to wait for mankind to improve, the outlaw lives as if that day were here.

Outlaws are can openers in the supermarket of life.”

Thomas Eugene Robbins (born July 22, 1936 in Blowing Rock, North Carolina) is an American author. I have been spending some time of late, digging around the shadowy and cut-throat world of the so-called ‘Alternative’ Media and some of it’s more prominent figures, in order to gain a better insight into what has become to most people – a seemingly impenetrable maze of increasingly bizarre, crackpot theories, vicious infighting and an inordinate amount of propaganda.

It is abundantly clear that certain figures have emerged, who are all vying to occupy the higher moral ground, presumably from where they will then attempt to stake their own claim to be undisputed king, or queen, of the mostly online ‘Truth’ movement.

They have their share of followers, or to be more accurate, their ‘Disciples,’ and all employ almost identical methods and tactics which they use to attract their audience.

An audience which consists of many like-minded souls, some of which unfortunately, are genuine people who are innocently, and justifiably, searching for answers and only want to learn the truth.

Throughout this coming year, I have no doubt in my mind that there will be not only evidence presented as to the real intentions of many of these ‘Truthers’ and ‘Alternative Media Heroes and Heroines’ – but there will also be a distinct ‘shift’ in the way that the Alternative Media is viewed by the vast majority of people.

I also have no doubts, that this ‘shift’ has been engineered for purposes that will soon become apparent in the months and weeks leading up to the General Election, which by all accounts will be the dirtiest political campaign that any of us will ever witness.

All of which, will of course, cause a great many people to not only reassess where their real loyalties lie, but will also create a climate of confusion as to ‘who’ are in fact, the ‘good guys’.

The Outlaw will of course, not align itself to any of whom are seen as the popular choices, and will continue in the same way as it has always done – publishing balanced, concise and at times ‘unique’ articles and information, which will offer the reader ample room for further research and discussion.

May I also take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy New Year – As 2015 will be a year that is predicted to be momentous in many ways, in fact – unlike any other year in living memory.
