Correct me if I am wrong, but has there ever been a time in any US Presidential campaign thus far, that any candidate has had zero endorsements from the mass media?
Not only that, but if what Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly has said is true, then Donald Trump’s candidacy has not only managed to survive, but according to most (un)official polls, is well ahead of his Democrat rival, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
According to O’Reilly at least three major media organisations have “ordered their employees to destroy Donald Trump”, and he is “100% convinced that a media plot exists”.
Apart from being continually undermined by the mass media on both sides of the Atlantic, a number of Hollywood’s heavyweights have also come out to denounce Trump, including Arnold Schwarzeneggar and Robert De Niro, who has blasted Trump as “Stupid” and expressed a wish to “punch him in the face”, which would be somewhat hypocritical on De Niro’s part as he had nothing but sympathy when he publicly supported Bill Clinton in 2011 – when allegations into Clinton’s extra-marital activities were being investigated..
Trump’s popularity among the American electorate remains high, he has 11.5 million Twitter followers, his rallies and personal appearances attract supporters in their tens of thousands, and his refusal to quit, despite the media juggernaught, the ‘celebrities’, the smear campaigns and everything else that is working against him, has ensured that he stands a far better than average chance of becoming the next President of the United States of America.
The Mass Media, the Democrats of course, and it now appears that an increasing number of Republican’s are also worried that he may actually win, and according to fellow Republican Mike Huckabee, the GOP are now starting to ditch Trump – because they are ‘scared to death that he will win’.
